you are sitting at home tonight, watching TV and the emergency broadcast signal flashes on your screen. You grab the remote and try to click away from it, but it’s on every channel. You start to realize…this is not a test…this is real!
A news anchor comes on the screen and in a shaky voice says….
“At 12:15 this afternoon, the U.S dollar collapsed… I repeat the dollar has collapsed.”
The entire infrastructure of America is now a prime target for ANY invasion. The T.V. suddenly shuts off; moments later, your entire neighborhood goes dark. This is the moment you have prepared for. You are going to be okay. Right?
It Could Happen…
The above scenario could happen. It may not be the collapse of the U.S dollar, but it could be one of several possibilities that would cripple the American way of life. Some third world country launches nuclear missiles aimed at the United States; Terrorists have taken over the White House; Violent earthquakes, tidal waves, tornadoes, the apocalypse… who knows? The question is are you going to be prepared for whatever situation may arise?
Been There, Done That..
Having been a victim of hurricane Andrew in South Florida back in the early 1990’s, I can attest to the need for preparation for any type of disaster, regardless of how localized or how widespread it may be. For a few weeks in the fall of 1992, our little corner of the world was likened to a war zone, by the residents of Dade county, Florida. From the loss of electricity for a few weeks for some to a couple months for others, to the loss of life, we saw it all. We saw the best in people and we saw the worst. We would go from lending a helping hand for a displaced neighbor to pointing a gun on a looter trying to steal what little you had left. You never knew what situation you would be faced with from minute to minute. Fortunately, since this was just a local situation, within a few days the National Guard was mobilized, outsiders wanting to help were moving in and the threat of life ending danger had been reduced drastically. The danger and urgency was not eliminated completely, but at least you felt there was some hope.
You’re On Your Own…
Now imagine there was no outside help coming. There was no government aid or support on its way. No knight in shining armor to save the day. There was nothing to count on other than your own survival skills and preparations. This is what it’s all about! You never know what tragedy or disaster lies around the corner. You never know when you will be placed in a situation where your life, and your family’s life, may depend on your knowledge and skills. Are you ready? Are you prepared to fight for you and your family’s life? Do you have the proper supplies that you will need to be able to take care of your family? It may be only for a few days without power, a few weeks of looters and pandemonium or a lifetime of martial law, or worse, no law at all! Every man for themselves…no one to count on for help…not knowing who you can trust and never knowing what life threatening challenge will surface next. It will be then that you will look back on this point in time and either smack yourself for not listening to the warnings or thank God for having the foresight to pay attention and take action to be prepared for anything.
